Quick Terrain Modeler Visualization Tools |
| Overlay Georegistered Imagery |
Overlays georegistered imagery on 3-D DEM. QT Modeler can overlay and edit orthorectified, orthographic, or projective imagery. |
| OverlayUnregistered Imagery |
Overlays unregistered imagery on 3-D DEM. QT Modeler can overlay and edit orthorectified, orthographic, or projective imagery. Quick Terrain Modeler will attempt to scale and position imagery appropriately, but this process may require user manipulation and editing of the unregistered image. |
| Miscellaneous Images |
Supports the overlay of a variety of imagery formats. May require significant user manipulation if the imagery is unregistered. |
Altitude Coloration |
Customizable coloration by altitude. Altitude coloration palette will be reflected in exported 2-D GeoTIFFs (if desired). |
| Lighting |
Customizable lighting settings. Can be set by time of day |
| 2-D and 3-D modes |
Depending on the situation, 2-D mode may be more effective. For example, 2-D shape files may display better in 2-D than in 3-D. |
| Tile Map |
Displays the outlines of tiles along with the file name. This is an excellent tool for understanding which tile is of interest in a multi-tile environment. |
Legends |
Altitude and change detection legends help intuitively understand the terrain. |
| Height Exaggeration Mode |
Temporarily exaggerates terrain elevation. Very useful for flat terrain analysis. All measurements will still be accurate, even when in exaggerated mode. |
| Multiple Control Modes |
User selectable control mode gives a variety of methods of navigating through model in real time. |
| Viewpoint Capture |
Saves and recalls specific viewpoints to return to later. |
| Markers |
User defined markers highlight specific terrain features. |
| Marker Import Tool |
The marker import tool imports markers from an ASCII text file. Very useful for importing large numbers of markers in a terrain. |
