Miscellaneous bug fixes: Fixed mensuration across UTM boundaries, fixed .qtc import of GeoTIFFs with different X and Y scales, and fixed many other minor issues. Download and install QT Modeler Version 5.0.0. Portable and floating license (i.e., hardware dongle) customers should download from the links above. Node lock (i.e., software keyed) customers should download from our Download Page.

Importing very large files in ESRI Grid ASCII (ASCII Z Grid on the import menu) causes a crash. The problem was a buffer overflow issue that has been resolved in QT Modeler Version 5.0.0. Download and install QT Modeler Version 5.0.0. Portable and floating license (i.e., hardware dongle) customers should download from the links above. Node lock (i.e., software keyed) customers should download from our Download Page.

Exports to ESRI ASCII Z-Grid were flipped in the Y axis. This has been corrected in QT Modeler Version 5.0.0. Download and install QT Modeler Version 5.0.0. Portable and floating license (i.e., hardware dongle) customers should download from the links above. Node lock (i.e., software keyed) customers should download from our Download Page.

When working in Cartesian (e.g., State Plane) models, QT Modeler would not reload the .par parameter file for overlaid imagery. In addition, Cartesian tile sets would not display the overlaid imagery when loaded. This has been fixed. Download and install QT Modeler Version 4.0.4 from our download page.

Import of Grid ASCII (Z-Grid) files sometimes "flips" files in Y (i.e., North-South). The problem is most prevalent in Grid ASCII files generated from ESRI products. The QT Modeler was writing the grids "top to bottom" for every import. Version 4.0.4 gives the user the choice to "Flip in Y" and/or "Flip in X" (although transposing in X, or East-West has not yet been an issue). The default setting now builds models appropriately for Grid ASCII files generated by ESRI, but retains the option of flipping the build if another Z-Grid format is encountered. In addition, users can now import large numbers of Grid ASCII data sets at once. QT Modeler will read the header information for each data set and build appropriately. Download and install QT Modeler Version 4.0.4 from our download page.

Upon importing LAS files, the QT Modeler loads all returns, even if the user requests an individual return. This problem has been resolved. QT Modeler now allows users to select and import individual returns (or all returns) as defined in the LAS data files. Note: Not all LAS data files have multiple returns defined. Download and install QT Modeler Version 4.0.4 from our download page.

Exported GeoTIFF's have the X value inverted, resulting in a "flipped" GeoTIFF. The cause is in the method we used to write the .tfw file. The underlying GeoTIFF is accurate, but the .tfw file

Short term fix: Since the GeoTIFF is correct, deleting the world file will correct existing GeoTIFF's (assuming you do not need the .tfw).

Long term fix: Download and install QT Modeler Version 4.0.2 from our download page. It will run on your existing key. If you have a hardware key version, please contact info@appliedimagery.com for an update.

Saving tile sets does not work if path name is particularly long (over 100 characters). (e.g., c:\my documents\lidar data\canada\british columbia\ ...\bare earth returns\dataset1.las). Tile set appears to save OK, but loading tile set fails.

Short term fix: load data into a directory with a shorter path name.

Long term fix: Download and install QT Modeler Version 4.0.2 from our download page. It will run on your existing key. If you have a hardware key version, please contact info@appliedimagery.com for an update.
