This is a surface model of an open pit quarry. In order to calculate the volume of rock removed from a desired area, the QT Modeler requires the user to define an area, then define a reference against which to compare it. The QT Modeler can perform volume calculations against other models (i.e., volume change analysis) or against a reference plane.
